Fast Concept Modeller for CATIA V5

The Fast Concept Modeller (FCM) is an application for the quick, simple creation of vehicle concept models and the automatic export of FE models for crash, NVH and static analyses.

FCM accelerates geometry creation within CATIA V5. Special technology is used to bring geometrical update stability to a higher level. Complex associativity relationships can easily be seen, managed and controlled.

Vehicle modelling

The functionalities integrated in the Fast Concept Modeller cover the entire design process during the concept phase. This makes it possible to use a uniform geometric model from the early phase through to the analytical cycles to the start of production design.

FEM functions

The Fast Concept Modeller contains functions for creating geometry, for defining FE properties and for the mesh visualization. This data is saved right inside the model.

FCM's interfaces to FE solvers and meshing programs makes the optimization of body structures a simple task.

The vehicle geometry is automatically updated based on optimization results.
